Siemens Pakistan is a distinguished and recognized name in the industry in manufacturing Distribution Transformers. Our objective is to provide a sustainable power supply to the consumers through strict and monitored quality control of our products.

The experience of 25 years in manufacturing Distribution Transformers is clearly depicted by enhanced and satisfactory performance reliability. Siemens played a vital role in national development by enabling the Village Electrification Program initiated by the Government.

The standard production range of Distribution Transformers is from 10kVA to 2500kVA.WAPDA and KESC standard ratings are 10, 15, 25, 50, 100, 200, 400, 630kVA and 150, 250, 500, 750, 1000, 1500kVA respectively. (Note: All WAPDA ratings are acceptable in KESC network.) Considering the customer requirement we have a range of Siemens standard transformers with ratings 500, 750, 1000, 1250, 1500, 1600, 2000, 2500kVA. We also manufacture transformer other than the standard rating on customer demand.

SIEMENS Distribution Transformers have proved their worth after decades of operation as dependable component in power supply systems. The Distribution Transformer plant has an annual capacity of 3000MVA, 22000 units.

TESTING FACILITIES

Siemens Pakistan has gained the customers trust and confidence over the years by providing tested and efficient products. The manufactured products are tested and approved by independent and acclaimed testing facilities such as KEMA, National Laboratory RAWAT (Pakistan) and Engineering Universities of Pakistan. Both the routine and type tests are provided at the Distribution Transformer Test Field.

Routine Tests

1) Measurement of winding resistance.

2) Measurement of voltage ratio and check of phase displacement.

3) Measurement of short circuit impedence and load loss test.

4) Measurement of No-Load loss and current

5) Induced over voltage withstand test

6) Separate source voltage withstand test.

In order to ensure high product reliability certain type tests (Temperature rise & Lightning Impulse Voltage withstand tests) and special tests are also carried out.

Special Tests

1. Lightning Impulse voltage withstand test on Neutral Terminal.

2. Lightning Impulse Voltage withstand test with chopped tail.

3. Determination of capacitances, windings to earth and between winding.

4. Measurement of zero sequence Impedance (s) on three phase transformer.

5. Determination of Acoustic Sound levels.

6. Measurement of harmonics of the no load current.

7. Measurement of insulation resistance to earth of the windings.

8. Measurement of dissipation factor (tan Ø) of the insulation system capacitances.

9. Measurement of Dielectric strength of Oil.

10. Measurement of Partial Discharge.
